Yeah, I regained some weight, BUT
As of this morning, I'm back at my goal weight of 150!
I can fit into my size 8 pants without them cutting off my circulation.
Thanks to everyone for your support. Special thanks to Cookie for starting the thread for Post Ops *****gained.
Some people might say that five pounds isn't that much, but I felt like if I stayed comfortable being five pounds over goal, then the next thing you know I would settle for being ten or twenty or ??? pounds over goal. I refuse to go back to the life I had before I had this surgery.
My plan is to drop a few more pounds so I can have some "wiggle room" and feel a bit more confident with my maintenance.
Newbies: WLS is not a get out of jail free card. Staying on top of things is a never ending battle. If you don't stick with your program you will regain weight. I'll be six years post op in November. The farther out I get, the more effort there is required to maintain.
Post ops *****gained: Stay the course. Those pounds WILL come back off.
