Kindly set your profile to visible to friends so folks approving your friendship requests know who you are.
I recently accepted a friendship request but the profile was not visible once I approved it. So I cancelled. This was not meant to be unkind. My rule for friends is simply if you can view me, then I should also be able to view you. This person is so deep under cover I can't even send a pm explaining why I did not accept.
I check out all friends as I approve them. This is how I protect myself from the trolls on this site. Over the years I have been approached by several scammers here. Make it easy for other OH'ers to be your friend by being accesible.

I do the same thing. I also feel more people should make their profiles public, but that is just me. I feel the whole purpose of this site is to encourage and inspire others who may having some of the same issues. With so many making their profile Private you have to ask to be friends to find out more information. And even then like you said they still have the profile private private. I feel this defeats one of the purposes of this wonderful site. Thanks for this public announcement....:-) Most Active
