What did you put on your scars? Coco butter, Vit. E, etc.
Hello Everybody,
I have a quick question. What did you put on your incision scars to fade them or lighten them up? I've heard about products such as Mederma and Dermablend to plain old Vitamin E oil and coco butter. I'm almost six weeks out and I don't have any scabs or anything and want to try and do something now about these marks. I don't want to look always look like a gun shot survivor with these five dark scars on my stomach.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

A swipe on each scar with a plain inexpensive cocobutter stick three times a day faded mine just fine. I got the ok to use it 30 days post op and was faithful for about the first three to four months. When I started slacking the scars faded more slowly but after year plus they are not noticible. Go back a few days to the pics I posted. You would be hard pressed to find them.
I also exfoliate with sea salt and a plain vegetable oil like canola or soybean; and moisturize with pure aloe mixed with the same oil; plus I use a heel repair cream all over. Big difference in the tone and texture of my skin when I stick to the routine vs going back to regular lotions. And its dirt cheap too. Less than six bucks for a pound of foot cream at Freds vs thirteen bucks for a smaller jar of Aveeno heavy duty moisturizer.
I did a lot of online research and trial and error to find my formulas. I'm pleased with the scars. If I were not so lazy I'd be even more pleased with the skin tone.
