Now why'd you go and do that, Dummy?

Ayy yo,

There I was in my weekly karate class the other day trying out a "new" kicking technique that my sensei has been raving about lately. This kicking style is where you'd swiftly strike your opponent with the knuckle of your big toe of the foot of your choice.  Powerful?  Yes.  Effective?  Quite.  Hurt like heyll?  You bet your sweet azz.

Let's face it, at some point in life we all must accept the things that we can do and the things that we just can't do.  But when you have bad feet like I do, you ain't dancing too long when your favorite song comes on at the club; you ain't standing too long in a line to pay for stuff that you actually need; and you ain't running around town looking to kick a stupid fool in the face for anything regardless of which toe seems up for the job.

Speaking of running, I took those same bad tootsies of mine out for a slight trot and jog a few days after my last karate class and fugged around and jammed my big toe - yeah that one - right back up into my actual foot.  Sheee-atsu massage!  That mofo hurt like a sunnuva-beeyotch when I did that.

So I was laid up at home actually working from home while I rested my ground-grippers.  It took awhile but I think I'm on the mend.  Anybody else out there on the BAF hotline ever do something to themselves and later say, "Dayum! Now why'd I go and do that?!"  Holla atcha boy.

Oh hell yes I've fkcu'ed myself up on many occasions.  This week's cluster fkcu:

I have major problems with fatigue because of multiple sclerosis.  So what do I do?  Drive from CT to SC to visit my MIL (Love her, she is my heart.).  I took amphetamines to keep alert and skip the afternoon nap.  I also skipped some of my other meds that cause drowsiness.  Then I did the same to drive to Southern GA.

Bad idea.  Now I'm in a full MS flare.  Major pain, I cant speak well, and I'm dragging my right leg.  Plus serious brain fog and confusion.

Yes I am a jack @$$.

You mean you drove from CT to SC straight with no sleep?   Just to see your momma-in-law?   She'd better be your heart to do all of that for her.  Wow!  I get sleepy just thinking about driving home from work.

Hope you feel better soon.  Ain't nothing like being out of sorts in all of this east coast heat.  Take care.

Crashed for a night in NC but I was way out of my depth for rest.  It has come back to bite me inthe @$$.  Hard.

I do LOVE my mil.  I divorced her son but my in laws are for keeps.  Funny thing is my parents kept my DH too as the son they never had.  The in law relationships are far better than the marraige was, lol.

"Hello, Ripley's Believe it or Not! Yeah, I got a homie over here that says she's cooler than the fan with her in-laws after the nuptials have long since faded away and that her ex is also tighter than a gnat's behind with her people too after the ink was dry and the dust settled.  Huh?  Not so amazing you say?!  Well peep dis, ya honor, they're Black.  Yep.  Mm hmm... For real.  Oh so now you'll FedEx somebody right over here to see what's the dilly and what-not?  Thought so.  I feel ya, Playa.  Hey, don't sweat it.  I dayum near fell outta my chair when I heard the news my-dayum-self too, Potna.  Yeah I'll hold..."

Puhhhhh-leeeezz!  I do it on the regular.  I have an extra set of ribs in my back (yep, a whole extra set..that's where my wings attach ) Anyway.....because of that, when I over do, i.e. lifting too much, not using proper body mechanics and not staying limber and stretching...one false move and...bam...I'm on my ass for at least a month.  All of the nerve roots along my spine bunch up and spasm at the same time.  I am literally frozen in agony. Not to mention, I have a dislocated patella in my knee that I keep re-injuring from over doing as well. Every time I do it, I get so pissed off at myself!

Love is all there is, ever was or ever will be...
