OT-financial aid, need help, calling professional students

hey guys, the deadline for the FASFA is midnight tonight and of course I've not only waited till the last minute, but did not file a tax return and do not  have my tax documents in my posession anyway.

As such, I selected that I "will not file a return" afterwards it asked for wages from working.  I entered ONLY  that amount, literally none from unemployment as it did not ask for it (it did ask for it when I had selected "will file return" but since I didn't have my tax amount that is why I went back and selected "will not file") I just want to be sure that I am not committing some sheisty move that will get me in trouble.  Further, does this mean that I absolutely can not file my return this year?  I had intended to do so late.

All help is appreciated, clearly I have never utilized financial aid.

The two processes are technically seperate so marking that you will not file doesn't stop you from filing.......

However - you should answer according to your final END state - so if you plan to file for this year - you MUST fill out the FAFSA as such.  If you say you're not filing, then you file - it could pop up later.

And if you say you're not filing and you don't file but you SHOULD file..... that's even worse.

There are more crackdowns and flags than in the good bullchit days - the income from unemployment isn't as much an issue as being consistent with the filing part.

I don't have a problem not filing this year.  I can worry about that next year as I know you have 3 years to file.  My biggest question has to do with the technicality of not including UE.  I'm taking the wages part literally and including only what was on my W-2.

Now, I can just update it and select will file and enter all the tax/UE info, I just don't know what's easier and most feasible

**ETA--called and spoke with I guy (I think/hope) knows what he was talking about and he stated that the wages part is literal and does not need to include UE, so I'm straight.
