Good Morning BAF!
I hope you all are doing good and holding up ok on this WL journey. It's storming outside this morning and I was feeling down. I dreamt about my Mom last night and woke up feeling some kinda way.
Got to work and saw a co-worker...an older lady that I speak to every morning but don't know very well. She stopped me and said...'you look REALLY good. I can see you are still losing weight and I just wanted to tell you that whatever you are doing is working!"
I thanked her and as soon as I stepped away from her, tears just streamed from my eyes. That old saying...you can't see the forest from the trees popped into my head. I see all my flaws but fail to realize that I am actually at my lowest weight since starting this journey! I'm over 3 years out and finally feeling good and healthy.
Please look pass the trees so you can REALLY see the big picture BAF. Know that we may not be where we want to be....but we have worked hard to get to where we are!

Wow I love this forum, as I have mentioned I am a newbie. I just had my surgery (sleeve) May 25th , I know that it is not magic but I guess I expect to see magical results. Thank you for sharing because I know that eventhough I can't see it my clothes testify that I am well into my journey ! I am blessed mo need to be down!
Welcome to the journey nessabgood! I can't begin to tell you how much BAF has benn here for me. Through the good, bad, and the ugly! LOL
The surgery isn't the 'magical cure' that I, and lots of others thought it would be. It takes a LOT of hard work. PLEASE take advantage of these early stages. Just know that it takes longer for us to 'see' it on ourselves.
