OT: The new Karate Kid movie

 Anybody go to see this?  I took babygirl to see it yesterday and I have to say - it was GOOD!!!!  A lil long and slow toward the middle, but GOOD!!!!

Lil Will Smith has got a bright future ahead - although, the whole time I kept waiting for him to say some Boondocks ish...... LOL!!!!  He really did a good job in the film - and the physical stunts are really amazing - but that lil dude needs a cheeseburger!!!  He is SKINNY!!!!!  But he's got the genes..... we saw daddy in Ali........

Anyway - for those of you who saw it and saw the first Karate Kid - did you think it did it 'justice'?  I personally think it stood out by itself, that it was really a good film in it's own right. 

have not seen it but taking the grands today, been watch previews for a while, and I saw enough in those to know I wanted to see it.  I thought the same about little willy.  I saw in the previews not to expect it to be totally like the original but to catch it on a different light and a different time.  Thanks for the info

...i've heard some other good reports on this movie MM.  so you and them...have motivated me to go see this movie this weekend..............(i'll find a kid to drag with me...lol)

Yea - cause you'll look creepy going alone...... LOL!!!!!  Everybody cheered and clapped at exactly the same time at the end - it was one of those 'feel good' moments - if you are old school and loved Ralph M from the original - you feel that same 'yea!!!!' moment.  It's way cool. 

I am sorry MM, I don't have a problem gion without a kid..........I am the same one with all of the disney and childrens dvd's from cinderlla to shrek 3 and there are no children in my house and I don't loan them out i am all the kid I need LOL!@

i took my little one to see it on saturday only because she thought the "boy was handsome".  anywho, i WAS NOT dissapointed!  lil will definitely had it going on...he really did a great job.  i was impressed with jackie chan too.  it all brought back memories to the original karate kid.  everyone involved in this flick really did a great job at bringing back a great 80's flick!

yea - my babygirl just started karate lessons at our community center - she's been watching Karate Kid I and II every weekend for the last month.... so no WAY was I gonna get out of this weekend ALIVE without taking her......

so of course, she spent the afternoon tryna kick our damn ceiling fan....... ~tsk~ LOL!!! 

some karate school was there passing out pamphlets...smh.  the lil one took one, but she hasn't said anything about it.  howeva when we got home she did that fist-in-hand greeting thing they do before a fight...OMG, i died laughing!!!

We haven't seen it yet but we do plan to see it probably next weekend.  Thanks for the review!!
