OMG, I feel like a Fish out of Water
Wowwww so many new faces! I don't feel like a VET. I'm now the NEWBIE! I was just checking in and ran across some really good post. I realized just how much I miss my BAF family! I see most of you on FACEBOOK but that's just not the place to openly talk about WLS and WL issues. I am so glad to always have a place to come back to when I need the accountability.
I haven't failed at Weight Loss. In fact I have accomplished much. But now that I am 2 1/2 years out, I am now in maintenace mode and maintaining is a B*TCH! It seem's like once I reached my goal "I" got complacent. I slacked on exercise, picked up some bad habits (not eating either)! Fortunately and UNFORTUNATELY my pouch still doesn't tolerate large consumptions of food and I still DUMP! However, I can DRINK my ASS off! I mean it seems like it just goes right through me. I get a little buzz, then VAMOOSE!!! It's gone and I'm on to the next drink! **Newbies, please be cautious of transfer addictions! Read up on them and take them serious! I'm not in the alcoholic stages but I party, network, and attend social events a lot (I mean A LOT) and I love to drink socially but this issue is causing the unwanted pounds to creep up on me! Many that know me personally and have seen me really don't see the problem or regain, but I know and have to keep in mind that a 5 lb gain quickly turns into 10, 15, 20, 30, oh wait, hellll naww, I'm not going that damn far! It doesn't even look right typing that ish!
Anyway, I'm back on the scene to hold myself accountable, gain some accountability buddies, and turn this wagon around before I lose control of the wheel.
Thanks for letting me VENT and be transparent. My first step to regaining some control! I feel so liberated

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

As you can see, you are in GOOD company - man, that drank ain't no JOKE!!!! Quite a few of us on here have been hitting the bottles HARD....... it's a hidden evil. I am living in dry country these days - glad to have booted it out my house but it's still hard to keep on the ball with everything else.
Stick around and stick to your plan! We are all here trying to put things back together.
