Hey PrettyPlum!

For me I'd say that gaining and not being close to goal because that's what I'm living right now.  I've gained about 10 pounds from my lowest weight but even at the lowest I still needed to lose another 30-40.  I really don't have an excuse for it which is probably why I needed the darn surgery in the first place.

When you find the sweets "deprogrammer" let me know girl.  I'll be in line right behind you!!!

Hey Telaya,

Girl I used to get one Domino sugarcube every day in head start, after we woke up from our nap time and I swear that was the beginning of the end for me when it came to sweets.

I remember waking up early before my other classmates just to get on line first to get the thing. Can you imagine how delicious that piece of  pure sugar tasted in my little fat face.   I was only 4 and I was already a fiend.....SMH!!!!

But Imma beat this sucker for it takes me outta here. Heeeey I got an idea.....
lets put on our helmets and deactivate these sweet tooths like the wonder twins used to do.    I wi**** were just that easy.

Many , many blessings!

PrettyPlum I have not reached goal but been close and then gained some, so that just sucks.
My expectation was to reach goal with the ability to gain a few and still be satisfied with my weight loss.  However I expected to have that accomplished by now.  NOT.    I've not given up on my band.
Lately it has just been MY BAD.    Don't plan to give up sweets just control my intake if there is such a thing.

 With  I will succeed.

Hey ((((Plum))))

All I can say is that it is a NEVER ending journey.  I am over three years out and I am not a gambling person but I would have bet you a $100 that I would have made it to goal by now.  My goal is 180 and an DREAM goal of 175.  Back in January I weighed in at 185.6.  Now...194.6.  I am not that far away...I just don't seem to want to do the work anymore.  I was supposed to at least be back under 190 before our vacation to VA next week...NOT!  I will not give up...just on hiatus for now...Hang in there my friend!

Hey Plum

This is such an interesting question--especially since I've been pondering it myself for the last week or so--ever since I saw Cookie's re-focus posts.

I never reached goal, but at 6 years out I've never stopped pursuing it either.  I am 29 pounds from my surgeon's goal and about 60 from my own.  I know several people, including a few in my work building who have re-gained--one of them re-gained 100 pounds!  I really hate to see that, but sometimes I'm glad that I'm still pursuing my goal as opposed to re-gaining.  (they both SUCK!  LOL)

And speaking of re-gain, my weight has NEVER been stable anyway--I fluctuate between the same 6 to 8 pounds all the time, not sure why (water retention?)

I do need to figure out how to get rid of this last chunk though...
