Hey Ladies,

I'm not a vet but I have some questions if you don't mind.  I'm 10 months out and weight is at a stand still I understand that now it's more me and less of the surgery at this point.  So I'm working hard to keep things under control truth is I still like to eat.  I'm still in the process of making better choices.  I don't want to diet forever I do want to be diligent about what I eat and if I'm moving enough to stay healthy.  That's my goal today who knows what will happen in the next year or so.  So my question what was it that caused you to gain back some of your weight other then medical conditions?  What would you do now that you didn't when you were at your lowest or happiest weight.  In other words got any words of wisdom for the newbies?  Do you think the very low calorie diets in the beginning with surgery set us up to fail once we can start to eat more?  By the way I know you ladies are not where you want to be, but I think you're great at least you're fighting to get back to where you were happiest how hard would we have fought to do that before surgery?  For me not so much.

Thanks for the input!
Jenelle

A medical condition started my weight gain and it has been hell every since.  I go up and down ALL of the time.  My biggest challenge is late night eating and cookies.

Truth of the matter is you WILL have to "diet" for the rest of you life.  Meaning, you will have to monitor your food intake, water intake, exercise, protein, and vitamins FOREVER.  FOREVER EVER!

Hi Janelle

No,  I do not eat low carb,  I hate low carb,  I don't believe in low carb, I believe low carbing in the end makes you fatter and eats your musces.   I eat normally and I don'****ch any carbs on Weigh****chers.   I count my points,  I figure if I'm going to go to WW and do low carb, I may as well just do low carb and not waste my money.

I eat fruits, I eat veggies, I eat cookies snacks, popcorn, and a bunch of other carb stuff, but I stay on top of my points,  not carbs..

Hey Lee,

I am also doing WW.  I am on week 8 and down 12.6 pounds.

Do you drink protien shakes?  Before WW I drank a shake every day, but not since I've been on WW.  One scoop is 3 points and my total intake is 20 points.

Is it a mistake to cut out protien shakes?  Please advise...

By the way, I'm still running...5 miles...3 days a week.
