Ok - me, being real - gotta tell you - the all liquid thing will NOT work for me - I sat and reviewed everything and umm - yea - not even setting myself up for a confession post....

What WILL happen is a soft solids/liquid hybrid for me me over the next three days.  For Wed, Thurs and Fri this week, I'll do the following:

B-fast - protein shake then 20 oz of water

L - light items - salad (veggie only, no meat) and/or soup

Dinner - more soup and/or salad with a minced meat (canned tuna or salad)

NO....AS IN NEVER NO, NOT UNDER ANY CIR****TANCES NO:
- candy
-bread
- meat

Daily water intake - 100oz (by hook or crook)

I'll be working out on Wed and Fri morning in the gym (possibly thurs at home).  And no, i will NOT go on a eating spree come Saturday!!!!

Hey - I've been at this for 5 years - I know what will work and what ain't gonna fly.... remember the Fat Smash??? yea - I had a flashback - NOT PRETTY!!!! lol

So - anyone still down???

This sounds really good and reminds me of a version of the Daniel fast.   I have done it many times.  It is really cleansing and healthy and you will feel the difference even in three days!  The last one I was on, I did for 21 days and it was HARD..but worth it.  A complete liquid diet for a week is tough and IMO takes some prep mentally and physically before you do it.  Before I go on a fast or make a diet change like this, I do a colon cleanse. I find that really helps to bolster the results.

O.k. I'm down with this, I've actually already started...with the exception of them damned oxtails and rice last night, but I'm back on today.

I've actually been reading this book about juice fasting and I intend to do it for a week before the summer is out.  I just have to prepare myself mentally and go out and buy a boat load of fruits and veggies.

And I'm confessing here and now that I will try my damnedest to stay away from the booze during this "fast"...anybody else care to get down on this???hmmmm. lol

I've been 'booze free' for about two weeks - have no intentions of changing that.... at all.

Awesome, so it's doable.  Have you noticed any difference in the scale since you stopped?

I honestly think it's impeding my weight loss.

When I stopped - the scale did reward me for my efforts.  And actually, I FEEL better overall.  It was beginning to become and expensive as well as bad habit.......

I'm still in........I've been doing the protein in the mornings anyway and trying to get in 64 oz of water. I don't know about 100 oz..........that's a struggle but willing to try.

This is much like the Daniel fast and I couldn't last more than 2 days.....pray church.

The Daniel fast is taken from the bible.  Daniel and his three friends were summonsed (captured) by a very evil King to come and be apart of teh kings "staff" so to speak because Daniel and his friends were very smart and Daniel was anointed by God to be able to interpret the kings dreams. But Daniel was a man of God and would not bow down to the kings gods nor would he (at one point) eat the kings food, so he fasted (twice, I believe) all meats, sweets, alcohol, and oils for his skin (living in the desert makes one dry, trust me).  The first fast was for 10 days and the second was for 21 days.  After the fast, he and his friends were much healthier than the others because they ate only veggies and water.

So now many Christians do the Daniel fast for 21 days. No meat, sweets or booze.  Many modify it and allow fish but no sea food (don't ask me why) and fruits and other beverages such as tea and juices as long as they are not sweetened.  It's very powerful to fast and pray for spiritual growth and answered prayer. It's also good for the body. Hope that helps.
