Where is the support???

And I understand that also...But in my case that is not so...I have posted and exstended my congrats to many people so I am was not a inactive lurker. However, I did about a year ago decied this WLS was not for me just because I scarred myself out of the surgery and the whole process and figure I caould do it on my own, so I stopped coming here...but how soon did I change my mind and the first place I came was right back here!

When I was a lurker I was afraid of this journey, some lurkers jump right in and post a million question, some lurkers take their time and read every single post to see if they could find their answer or support, and some lurkers are just afraid of asking dumb questions and never come out of that lurking mode..

"general and then they just pop up one day with a new pic spread of themselves like we were all around here waiting with bated breath for the latest issue of "dat chick/dat ninja" to hit the newsstands".  We support but that lurking **** is played in my opinion.

Congrats on your surgery but like Mack says this board has dwindled down from where it us to be. If you make a long post chances are people are not going to read it so my advice is to keep it short and simple JMO and you are more than likely to get a response. Anyhoo welcome to the board.

as a self-admitted, lurker, I admit that most postings these days, frankly, are boring.  And, not, not from a "dramatic, confusion raising" standpoint, cuz I don't exactly love seeing them.  But simply from a lacf of focus standpoint, I guess. 

Congrats on having decided to that that step; as everyone here can attest, no matter the personal reasons, its a huge step. 

Now, i'm going back to "lurker" mode..its safer there. lol

LOL @ safer...maybe it is..I'm starting to think that!

all jokes aside, I think lurking is a choice..not that its "safer". (well, it MAY be for some).

There are some good people here who actually are full of good advice (some may be full of other things, but that's for another convo...lol).  The delivery may be harsh at times, but most (with few exceptions) mean well.

As with any other venture, be it online or off, you take from it what you want and discard the rest, so, Undercover Lurker/Newbie (hey, that's gonna be my new screename IF I decide to troll-lol), don't be discouraged.

I was busy supporting my marathon friend this weekend to congratulate you,  but Congratulations.   I try to reply to newbies cause I know how I wanted and needed a response. 

You have to remember though that this board is on skeleton crew and especially on the weekends which is when you posted your thread.   If you want a better chance of a response you need to post during the week.   But keep in mind that the sites population has been lost to Face Book.

I am a oldie and while I agree that a lot of times I am not going to read a long ass post by a newbie there are times when I will.   But shoot I don't even like reading long posts from anyone and damit I even post long ass posts that I won't read.   I'M LAZY DAMIT.

BUCK UP NEWBIE,  Don't let the old folks hurt your feelings,  we are just selfish and fat and jeaous of you new ******s losing weight and getting smaller than us since we gained some weight back.       Ya Dam right I said it.

I'm fat and I don't want to hear about someone else getting small.
