Long Time Post-Ops....We've Confessed. What's the Plan?
I'm really glad that I read this today. I've been hopping on and off the wagon for a few months now and I couldn't figure out exactly what the problem was. For me I've decided to go back to the begining I've started the 5 day pouch test and I realized something amazing. I was over eating and simply fell back into my old habbits.
I listened to my body today and I felt that old sensation of "fullness" that I've learned to ignore. But not anymore.
So I've identified my main problem areas:
Grazing
Night eating
Sweets and carbs.
I will committ to 3 meals and two healthy snacks a day. Either fruit/veges or protein shakes ONLY
No more eating in the middle of the night. If I get hungry I will first drink 40 ounces of water and if I am still hungry after that, a protein shake will be my best friend!
Got rid of the junk in my house, no chips or pretzels..no cookies either.
I will continue to exercise and walk daily!

I feel so ashamed to say...I dont even know where to start!?!?
My "tool" has done 100% of the work for me in the last year, that I don't even know what to do to lose these lbs.
I originally weighed 270lbs before I had my surgery...my lowest weight after surgery was 126, which was too small so I gained 10lbs (not easily done at that time cause my pouch didnt like "alot" of stuff) which is where I was comfortable at. After I got married in 2007 up until I got pregnant last year I was between 135-145lbs...which was still comfortable for me, but now I'm at 162lbs after having the baby and I feel like a MOOSE !!! My surgeon's original goal weight for me was 150lbs but "I" wanna get back down between 135-145lbs.

Hi Cookie:
Good post. For once, since the surgery, I can actually say I haven't gained any weight. I joined WW online and I attend the weekly meetings and it has been working for me. I have 16lbs to get to my WW goal. It is hard as heck trying to stay on track but its a daily battle that I am going to continue to follow. I think I found something that I can stick to.
Take care!!!

I had got up to 179lbs...ooooowweee! 21 lbs from 200 lbs!!!
3-weeks ago I tried on a pair of size 8 stretch jean that would not stretch anymore and that day I decided to make a change. I work out to the female version of P90x...Power90 EVERYDAY(this workout is no joke)Today I weigh 165. I was at 162 a few days ago...but I had a bad weekend...anyway I love the way Power90 makes 200 lbs of skin not so hangin looking(yeah right). I have notice some definition in my arms and thighs. And if I look REAL hard I might have a pooch of an ass...maybe...not. I am working on eliminating drinking alcohol but not today...a month ago my best friend killed herself and about a week later I broke up with my guy....today I still need a drink but working on it...anyway this is what works for me today and lord knows it is ONE DAY AT A TIME on this journey
I drink half my weight in water everyday
I weigh myself at least 2x a day(anybody that has been to my house knows I have a scale in the middle of my kitchen floor)
I cant do sugar...period so cookies and cakes are not an issue for me
I dont do rice, potatoes, and bread...never have since surgery
I have worked out everyday for the last 3-weeks...gonna look great and Juanita's wedding
I dont eat after 6:30 pm until breakfast at 6:30am.....This was very hard for me...very hard at first!
I dont do eat dates...I date alot and use to go to breakfast , lunch and dinner on dates..now I go to festival, zoos, museum, balloon ride, bike ride, lake cruises..etc on date...but I dont do eat dates...they were killing me!!
I also have pictures of me weighing 367 lbs on my nightstand and on my desk....just as a reminder of where I dont EVER wanna go back to
Losing it was easier than keeping it off...Back on Track
