Long Time Post-Ops....We've Confessed. What's the Plan?
- wean myself off of Sweet Tea and replace it with Unsweetened and then water
- make that purchase of WII Fit Plus that I have been putting off since Christmas (I bought the WII system but never got the WII Fit Plus game and exercise board
I have been seriously considering joing Weigh****chers online too....I think they are offering a 2-week free trial right now.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna give the WW a shot and see how that goes.
They are offering water aerobics at the pool in my subdivision for $25. I'm considering signing up, I'm just worried about my hair. They said we would be in shallow water with no splashing but I just don't trust that.
I'm dealing with a lot of swelling in my legs and feet since my PS so I'm trying to figure out a solution for that so I can start some type of exercise program.
I cleared the 'deck' of junk food at home - if it ain't there, I can't graze. And - I cancelled a late night 'yoga' session to make sure I got up this morning to work out.... how's THAT for dedication??!!!! LOL
my absolute is getting my water in daily - I truly believe this is the biggest single issue I have - I know it's horrible for my body to be dehydrated and I won't lose a thing if I can't get that on track.
Other than that - just a loose Wagon Plan approach - balance my meals, keep it low and in line......
I weighed 155 this morning. I'm still within 5 pounds (barely) of goal, but I prefer to have my weight be in the 140's. I've identified 3 problem areas:
1. Grazing while at work I've been bringing too much food with me and nibbling during the day, even when not hungry. This morning I scrutinized my lunch bag more closely to make sure I was bring the appropriate amounts and types of food.
2. Eating too many refined carbs I've become too lax about eating the things at the house that were prepared / purchased for my family. I'm not planning to eliminate them, but I will eat more consciously and watch quantities.
3. Night eating Bad habit that I need to break. I don't know why, but I just HAVE to eat that late night snack in bed. I haven't worked out a strategy for this one yet.
Hello Cookie,
It's been 6 years since my surgery and I do the following to stay on track.
I weigh every morning.
I take my measurements once per week.
I drink 96+ ozs of water per day
I don't drink while eating
If my weight increase more that 5 pounds...I turn to protein shakes for a week.
I take my vitamins .
I give myself monthly B12 shots
I walk 5 miles - 5 days a week.
I mediate every morning
I have pictures of the old me posted in my bathroom, on frig, on my computer (home and office).
I eat 3 meals, plus 2 snacks (jello, sugar free popcicles).
No sodas...
It's a daily challenge, but I hold myself accountable and push everyday to succeed.
I started this journey in May 6, 2004 @ 282
Today - 155 lbs
Don't give up.... stay encouraged.
Much Love,
CJ
