Our WLS journey is an exciting & awesome journey, but it can also be an emotionally taxing and difficult journey.  That being said what has motivated you the most pre-op or post-op to make sure your weight loss is all that you want it to be?

My motivators include:
1.  The Haters who say I'm not going to keep the weight off.
2.  The haters in general.
3.   Before & After pic's on OH
4.  Turning heads when I walk down the street in a sweet sized
      10 outfit :)
5.  Following the journeys of fellow OH members.

1.  Walking past Lane Bryant and Ashley Stweart and saying "NEVER AGAIN"
2.  Walking past all the dudes now who wouldn't give a sista a second glance this time last year and ignoring the hell out of em!.......God I love doing that!.."I'll holla"!....LMAO
3.  Going to my doctor appointments and looking forward to hearing good news instead of a scolding about getting my weight under control year after year!
4. Walking any distance without feeling like I'm going to pass out after a few feet.
5.  Some of the best sex in my life!  Who knew there were so many positions I was missing!....

1.  Throwing out all of my old clothes that are way too big for me now. (Either I was one fat bastid before WLS or I just owned too many gott-dayum clothes for a big guy.  Eh... I'll go with "too many clothes" cause that's more positive.  Yeah.)

2.  Eating out at a restaurant and ordering just an entree with nothing to drink. (It still cracks me up how the waiter/waitress always looks at me like they wanna remind me that I'm still under oath on the witness stand or sumpen when I say for the third time, "No.  Nothing to drink for me.  Thank you.")

3.  Having something else to talk about and share with my friends besides which restaurant gives you the biggest dinner portions. (Most of y'all reading this know exactly what I'm talking about here.  We've all had those heated debates with our homies over this very same thing.)

4a.  Trying on a suit jacket at a store in the mall and watching the look on the store clerk's and other customer's faces alike when it actually fits.  (I know those suckas were just sitting there thinking, Dayum! I just knew he was gonna bust up that jacket.  Hmmph.)

4b.  Not having to hear those same "sunza bidd-ches" step to me on the low and say, "I got a son/cousin/friend/brother/etc... about your size and you dress really nice.  Where do you shop for your clothes?  Can you try this on for me?")

5.  Being able to climb two flights of stairs at home and not having to stop and rest the way trains do before they leave the station and continue on their journey.

I still have not gotten rid of my large clothes I keep saying I'm going to do it but I have not completed the task nor have I taken the bagged up items to a charity.  I think I'm afraid to get rid of my big clothes but now i HAVE SO MANY NEW CLOTHES I'M FEELING LIKE THOSE HOARDERS I SEE ON TV!    Good for you that you have gotten rid of the cothes that are too large for you I think that's a big step in the right direction.
