P90X???
Hey BAF!
I've seen previous posts talking about this workout and I wanted to know for those of you who have actually tried it do you HAVE to have upper body strength starting out? I saw the demo and the guy was doing pull ups and I thought to myself 'ummm, I can't do that!'
So what is the verdict, are you able to work up to that stage or do you need upper body strength?
Thank you for your help!

I did P90X entire program twice, and P90X Plus entire program once, that is close to a year of straight P90X.
Yes you have to have upper body strength because you have to do a zillion push ups, and pull ups. If you can't do pull ups now then you may want to start with p90 to get yourself prepared or you will just get frustrated with not being able to keep up. You can do it using elastic bands but I didn't want to do bands cause I wanted to get strong enough to do pull ups and push ups normally.
Also you have to get yourself strong enough to lift a decent weight. I started off with 10 pound dumbells and ended using 30 pound dumbells.
My biggest piece of advice is IF YOU HAVE WEIGHT TO LOSE DON'T DO IT UNTIL YOU FINISH LOSING ALL YOUR WEIGHT. I really wish I would have waited because this program makes the weight on the scale go up a lot. I don't care what the infomercial says it made me gain weight.
With all that said, Here are my pics. I'll leave them up for a few minutes then they are coming down in a attempt to preserve my privacy. LOL.
The picture below is after I finished P90X.

LOL. I know I took it down real fast.
Everyone on here has seen my arms though, they went with me my whole way through P90X. I posted every single day and I posted pictures quite often so they all know about the famous guns. LOL.
I wish my arms still looked that way. I don't lift heavy or regularly enough to maintain the mass, so while I still have incredible arms(yes I am bragging damit) they are no where near that. I am going to try to lose the rest of my weight before I do P90X again. I can't deal with the mental strain it put on me.

Have you considered doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shread and No More Trouble Zones ? It is a really good program and will help you to get strong and give you nice arms when done together.
The 30 day shread helps burn fat and the No More Trouble Zones gets your arms in shape.
If you want to give it a try don't buy it, let me know I have a burned set. I do the No More Trouble Zones when I want to keep my arms in shape without going all the way P90X.

No, if your skin is loose and hanging, P90X is not going to tighten your skin. You will gain some muscle but not enough to fill in loose hanging skin, most women are not going to gain a ton of muscle unless you have those genes.
I don't have any hanging skin because I didn't have any before I started P90X.

I have Jillian's set. I think it had the 30 day burn in there I just haven't tried it out yet. I'll have to look again to make sure. I tried two of her dvd's when I first had wls and put it on the shelf cause she was tiring herself out, lol! So I knew that wasn't for me yet, lmbo! I'm definitely getting into it now but I haven't tried the other two yet.
Thanks again for ur input and help!
