Weight gain night eating.

Nighttime eating has always been my downfall, but not actually waking up to eat.
How do you eat during your waking hours?
One thing that has helped my before bed snacking is to eat a bit later than I normally would and eat a very high protein meal. I feel way more full and don't want to snack near as much. I have also extended the time after meals when I drink from 30 minutes to an hour, and that seems to help also. I just saw my surgeon for my f/u (6 yr) and she also suggested maybe not chewing my food up 'as well' so I would 'feel' it better and it would sit a bit longer.

Ok I know what your doing I was 150 now I am 177 that is soooooo BAD!!! Beware be careful it will creep up on you I snack all the time I swear all the time trust me! it's a bad habit to start PLEASE becareful!!!!!!!!!!

Honey I can totally relate. My nerves and stress pushes me on to the same habit. It is going to take being transformed by the renewing of our minds. I would like to befriend you so that we can encourage each other. My daughter eats ice all day. Thats her inbetween snack and her late night snack. I'm trying to immatate her. I wish you luck in your journey and I will add prayer to that because it is more powerful then luck.

I'm checking out your answer's I'm also out soon to be 3 years.  And sitting with my MOM after my father has passed has been real hard.  Not only have I gain 6lbs I've lost hair and had to have it cut.  It was at least 3?4 of any kind of hair left.  Just purchased a book to right down want I  eat etc.  Make sure you get your protein, now on top of it all I have to worry about something I can"t do much about. Hair is growing and I'm getting on top of it all.

I'm still a newbie and crying because I still have bad habits.  One strategy I use is to have low cal/ low fat things available for when I have "uncontrollable moments".  Weigh****chers has some awesome chocolate covered pretzle things that are 1 point each (about 50 calories).  They taste the bomb and are especially good when you have PMS.  I usually don't eat more than 2 at a time.  Sometimes just 1 does the trick for me.
