WLS and our natural hair loss
there's all sorts of theories regarding hair loss and WLS. *i* believe you can lose your hair when you have ANY kind of surgery due to the way the anesthesia affects YOU. also, people can lose their hair due to low levels of protein in their system before surgery. if you are ok in those areas, you should be ok with wls too. good luck with your ds!

I have natural hair and it started shedding around 4 months out.
I am currently 10 months out and I noticed that the shedding is done. My hair thinned a lot in this process. I'm starting to notice that it is just now starting to thicken back up.
I've heard that there are things that you can do to minimize this hair loss. I'm not sure how effective it is because the hair loss is inevitable.
Just make sure that you are diligent about taking your vitamins and getting in your protein and water.
It's hair, it will grow back.
