Post op day 2 update.

Here is the latest and greatest update.

I'm not in pain, just sore. I've stopped taking the pain meds. prescribed by the doctor and just using the liqiud tylenol. Side note: I wonder if they have a grape or cherry flavor hydrocodeine. The regular flavor is nasty.

I'm sipping and walking. I don't have any gas pain. I've been taking the Gas X strips on a regular basis and they work.

I was going to the bathroom hour on hour from late Thursday into mid day Friday, but things have calmed down now.

I've been working on getting out of bed without putting too much pressure on the incisions and it's getting better.

I actually slept for about 4 hours last night and then went back to sleep for another 2 hours. I can sleep on my right side and on my back.

I can sit up now without pain which is awesome. It's easier to make updates sitting up.

I've been sipping on a protein shake for 2 days and I'm almost finished with it. I actually dreamed about eating a french fry last night. It's weird. I see food and I'm not hungry.

Thanks everyone for your support. I'll keep you updated.

The french fry didn't have ketchup on it.

We have a BBQ place here called Gates and they serve big orders of steak fries with the meals.

It was a Gates french fry I was dreaming of.

Glad you are doing well. When you sit up, use a small throw pillow to press in where it hurts.  It really will support your muscles and will help bunches!

Many Blessings!

Glad that everything is going well!  Just one thing though...protein breaks down after a couple of hours.  If you're not able to fini**** it should be thrown away.

Keep us posted!

Congratulations William,

Sounds like you are doing very well keep up the good work.

BTW ... don't keep the protein shakes too long.  After a few hours

they are no good and replete of all nutrients so keep them fresh.

You are on your way to an awesome recovery!!!
