1st Dump?
Last week was not a good week for me overall. First, a bout with constipation that left me doubled over in pain. You see, I have suffered from fissures in the past and had taken great pains to eat a lot of fiber in my diet; wheat bread instead of white, veggies and fruit, etc. I tried some milk of magnesia, but with hard stools made the pain worse. Finally, I found some metamucil that mixes completely in water like benefiber and I have been taking it three times a day.
Tonight, vomiting. I ate about a quarter cup of chili, with a bite of chicken, and a couple bites of a beef hot dog wiener. Big mistake. It weighed in my chest and stomach like a ton of bricks and finally had to throw it up. Feel better now. If that was dumping, I want no more of it. No Mas.
The chicken was a little dry.

Hey CB4life. I feel ya on the constipation!... I suffered with it all my life before the wls, and even more now. However, I do find that the more water I get in, the easier it is becoming. Also taking a stool softener regularly is a must! I'm amazed that you can eat such textured foods so early on. Perhaps your pouch may not be ready for it all yet either. I agree also about introducing one new food at a time. Hope you feel better sooon!

You poor thing ... I know the feeling all too well. But I don't think that what you experienced is dumping, I think that the food got lodged in you esophagus. Most people have trouble with dry chicken early on. Just so you know dumping is an entirely different sensation.
Remember to eat dense foods sloooowly and whatever you do, don't try to pu**** down with water. pacing back and forth helped me to walk the food down...or so I'd like to believe.
