Savannah/ Tybee Island GA
Send me your number on the BL. I do have a hook-up for hotel rooms ($73 per night..downtown Savannah).
As far as tours, you can catch a trolley anytime from River Street. River Street (and surrounding area) is the hang out spot in Savannah....restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.
I know nothing about Tybee, but I can ask around for you.
There is a FREE trolley that will take you all over the historic district and you will see the same stuff they show you on the paid tours, You can take in the scenery, but won't get the narration.
Most all the bars and restaurants have happy hour specials on River Street, a tourist hub, so dine early and pay a fraction of the cost.

They don't even have many good hotels on the beach, mostly condos and chain hotels. No great resort type places.
