Weave Yes or No?

I have never had surgery, so don't really now what to expect.

I want to get a weave put in soon, and after paying $300 just to put in, I have to keep it in for at least 3 months.  Can I have a weave during surgery, because I hope to have it done in 2 months?

I don't know if the doctor tries to attach things to your head or not.

I live in Southern California,  the hair usually cost $200 and depending on if you want a half a$$ job or a good one, it cost $150 to $350.

Well that makes sense ... I didn't realize you included the price of the hair as well.

I would say not to do it before surgery.  I lost loads of hair after surgery - wouldn't have seen it if it were weaved up.  Plus - you're not going to be mobile enough to care for it like you should and that can cause problems - in addition - if you do have weak hair or start to loose it, the stress of the braids from the weave may cause a problem.

Just my $0.02

Thanks, that all makes sense.   So I will just keep going to the shop ,doing my own hair or put on a wig.  They look good too.

I am weave queen (lol).  When I had my surgery, I took it out and braided my hair.  I kept the braids in for about a month and put my weave back in.  I had no problems and no hair loss.  I think the weave saved my hair.  I wasn't using chemicals and heat.  I finally took my weave out and my hair is doing great.  I know everyone is different so I hope this helps.  Good luck!
