Hello ev1, i'm new to the site and still learning everything it has to offer but loving it so far. I am an african american woman so felt the need to say hello. I am doing a lot of research on WLS and doctors since I will be self pay so please feel free to contact me with any info you may have on anything dealing with it. I am one of those people that plan everything so this site will hopefully help me with that.

Thx so much everyone!!! I am still trying to figure out if I want the Sleeve or bypass. I am a cheesecake and banana pudding coniseur so it will really be hard to give up that with the bypass. And I know it sounds bad but I gotta be real with myself or what's the use? That is why I am gonna give it til July and see how well I go without my sweets. I know I can't have them on the reg or even once and a while but for my bday and thxgiving it is a hard thing to give up!!!

I was talking to my friend today and she was like...you have the height being 6 ft. and already got a cute face so when you lose the weight, go into modeling. I was thinking heffa please lol but the fact that I will look a lot better than I do now is what makes me even contemplate having the bypass.  I know also with that, I will have no choice but to give them up cause I am not for the dumping syndrome thing.

A problem or question I do have if you all could answer is....

I am 315 and wear a 24 or 3x now...I am trying to find out what would I possibly get down to in dress size? I was a 14/16 in school and was happy so is it realistic to say I can be 180 again to fit a 14?

Welcome to BAF!

Everyone's body shape is different after surgery.  I weighed in at 376lbs at 5'4" size 32 and 5X....I got down to 196lbs and a comfortable 14.  So I would imagine with the height difference and at 180lbs you may be smaller than a 14?
