Cheap flights

Can anyone give me the names and sites of cheap airline providers? I plan on going back home to Michigan to visit my mom, the end of this month. I was thinking about taking the train and making it an adventure for me and my son, but I don't like the lay over in Chicago for 4 hours.

Then I figured we can catch a plane smoking to Detroit non stop, which would get us there in 2 hours, as opposed to a day and a half.

I know about Priceline, but my mind went blank for other cheap providers.

Please help a sister out.

Sharva uses Spirit airlines.   She use to get airline tickets for like 10 cents.  LOL.  

I remember that!!!  Ionknow cuz..... I wouldn't feel right about the $0.10 seat on the plane...... might be like

Why come my seat belt doesn't click?
How come there's no cushion on this seat?
Do you always have outdoor seats on the wings?
I'm 'posed to sit in the lil bucket up under the wheel for REAL?

Aww! They have no flights out of Texas. If I still lived in Detroit, I could get some good deals flying elsewhere. Darn!
