Last Nights Painting, Need some advice on the background color

I saw this icon on facebook and fell in love with it,  it was so dam small it was hard to get any detail but I think I did pretty good with it.     I am trying to decide what color to paint the background.  

What color you thinking ???

I'm seeing a simple green, just because its opposit red on the color wheel.

That is funny cause I thought about both Gold and Green.  But i'm leaning towards yellow, I don't know why.
