Even one doctor is giving me grief.  Thinks the surgeon's goal is too low and 'ideal' weight just crazy.  She is slender, looks to be well within the normal bmi range.  Why shouldn't I have that too?

I'm with you on wanting some cushion to work with.  A normal bmi has to be my max so I'm not freaking when I fluctate a few pounds.  Everyone's got an opinion but only one of us lives in this body.  I get to make the rules.

MM! Tell them fools that you are not changing your health related goals for no acting role....you can get plenty of other acting gigs I am sure. YOu have skillz!!!  I know that I am making a HUGE assumption but I bet a alot of those negative comments are coming from your cast mates and other folks in that circle. I have seen you on screen and I was wondering how your weightloss would impact this area of your life. I mean ....you played a BIG mean looking dude in a lot of your roles. It's not as if a more lean and fit dude can't play an intimidating part. They are just stuck on seeing you that way. They are the ones that gonna need to make the adjustment.  Tell those jokers to jump off.... Your health is more important.  In the meantime....look for other roles that will give you space to breathe and be yourself. If I am WAY off base, I apologize in advance! I for one am so happy for you and your accomplishments! Congrats on your success!

I really feel u on this.  I started getting those comments like 20-30 pounds ago.  And the comment i really hate is " i like u better bigger".  WTF?!?

Like others have said, do u.  I too hit my goal of 180, but wouldn't mind a cushion zone either.  Screw everyone else and their opinions, do u.

personally i wish I had worked hard to get to a cushion zone--giving me a little room if i gained--but i didn't and i regret every lb. of it that i gained back--now it's a struggle.

just do you--work towards that cusion zone--YOU'LL HAVE NO REGRETS, that for sure!

I feel ya on that MM.  It was complimentary and fun to hear all of the ooh's and aww's and first.  Then it turns to how much have you lost, to when are you going to stop losing?  Now it's annoying to hear the comments of "you're beginning  to look boney and sickly".  I'm like you MM, I'm at a great weight, but would like to get that down to a few less pounds as a little cushion zone.  But you can't please them all.  When I was heavy they said take off the weight you'll be healthier, and now that I have there's complaints that I've gone too far!  Damn 'em all....it's my journey!
