I'm at a loss for low carb items to take to work for lunch & snack.  Today I have tuna salad and 5 crackers for lunch, soy beans in the pod for snack and lunch meat and mustard if I need something else before the end of the day.

I don't like to eat the same thing everyday, if I do that's when I start to mess up. I like variety and I prefer hot meals .......Please Help!

My choices from time to time are:

pork rinds/cracklings (no carbs)

1/4 cup of strawberries (2.6 net carbs) I usually sprinkle a packet of splenda and allow the sugar to sock in and then add a Tbsp of cool whip...yummy...cons: splenda will slow weight loss down.

celery sticks (1 stalk has .8 carbs) with hidden valley ranch dressing 2 Tbsp I think has 2 carbs

hard boiled egg  (0 carbs) or egg salad made with mayonnaise little salt and pepper (0 carbs)

Atkins Indulge Bars (2 net carbs) Cons:  they are expensive but are good and will slow weight loss down.

1/2 cup cucumbers mixed with 2 tbsp ranch dressing (3 carbs)

For my hot meals, I usually will have a piece of meat along with a salad, cabbage, greens etc.  see list on the Atkins website www.atkins.com that will list the carb content of most foods as well as a wealth of information for a low carb lifestyle...now if I could just live the low carb lifestyle for a little while...I could get closer to my goal.

I like jerky nuggets, beef, chicken or turkey.

Atkins Daybreak bars.  They are lightr than the other varieties and ok for atkins induction phase.

Vienna saussage, chicken has fewer calories than the regular.

Pork skins

Angel hair cabbage with Walden Farms zero cal dresings (or spinach or shredded lettuce.

Sliced tomato and cucumber salad with a little red onion and lemon.

I also make a protein powder 'scone', taste carby but its not.
Per scone: 1 scoop whey protein, 1 tbs smart balance lite, 2 tbs splenda, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp rum extract, 1/4 tsp baking powder.  Add water and stir to a thick batter.  Pour/ spoon onto a cookie sheet sprayed with pam and bake in a pre heated oven about ten minutes at 350 degrees.  Do not over cook as they get dry quickly.

I really can't refer you to any one place in particular because I have seen it often.  Just google "effects of splenda while trying to lose weight" and see if you can get a hit.  I believe the Atkins website www.atkins.com explains that substitute sugar and sugar alcohols affects weight loss.

ETA:  see other post below...When I am on atkins,  it does not allow for it until phase two and even then I believe it states to avoid it if your weight has stalle and go back to phase one.
