Which one are you?
When you feel yourself struggling with something, then the time has come to grow beyond it. Effort and persistence can bring much value to any endeavor. Yet trying too hard, to the point where the effort becomes a constant struggle, brings nothing positive.
Struggle means it is time to grow, to go far beyond your previous limitations, to set new and expanded expectations for yourself. When you feel that something has become a struggle, see it as an opportunity. See it as a pointer showing you the direction in which to grow, and use it as a powerful motivation to do so.
Fighting the same fight over and over will just make you skilled at fighting. At some point it becomes time to develop some new skills, and to take your efforts to a whole new level.
What is it that you're struggling with? Instead of looking for ways to maintain your end of the struggle, consider how you could get to the point where you are beyond the need to struggle. Look for how you can stop struggling and start growing.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
what makes me good is my ability to delegate and use the tools at hand efficiently. therefore, i try to put this to work in many things i do - to include my weight loss journey.
i 'interviewed' docyors and bariatric methods, to see which one would be best for me. now that i've employed it, i trust it to do what it was hired to do. i supervise it, but don't fuss over or micro-manage it. i take it one task, one meal at a time, and i don't stress. i tell myself that if it doesn't do the job, i can fire it, but so far, it's been employee of the month. a testiment to my hiring skills. i have FAITH that it will work, and it does.
the lack of stress, i believe, is what keeps me successful. the less i worry about my weight, the easier it is for me to maintain. i'm not at my goal (160), but i'm 14 lbs away. i believe i will get there. in june, i'll be 2 years out, and i am very happy with the progress i've made.
i guess what i'm trying to say is, perhaps a different viewpoint will make it easier. i don't see this as a struggle, per se, i see it as a task i must complete. i use the tools at my disposal, and i keep chipping away at it. this keeps me positive and on the right track.
well... works for me, anyway
