Say it isn't so.  Malcolm X killer freed after 44 years

Would he be set free if he had killed an iconic white leader?

Wow interesting.  I'm going to go to the link and read article and do some research on this one. I'm curious how much time he was sentenced originally.....if he got a life sentence he was probably released on parole.

I guess we can't complain, the others were released in the '80's.

I have mixed feelings about this.  In most cases, I think that when you kill someone you should do hard labor for life.  This guy was young though, and brainwashed by the Nation of Islam just like Malcolm was before he came to his senses.  Times were very different for us in the 60's.  It's one thing to watch movies about the movement but another thing altogether to have lived during those years.  People were passionate.

This man is almost 70 years old now and has served his sentence; 44 years is a long time.

The top people who gave the orders to kill Malcolm never spent a day in jail.

Where is the justice in that?

Well he was before the first Judge, but wait until he reaches the "REAL" Judge

Even at nearly 70 years old....I think that he should at bare minimum devote the rest of his life to helping American young black male youth.....if he does not do that...he might as well be in jail....no time for selfishness after taking another man's life...a man that was doing a lot to help America's young black youth!

Justice repealed!  An evil shame.

Young at the time.  One of many conspirtors.  It was still his crime and he must serve his sentence if there is to be justice.  A murderer is a murderer period.  Its hatred for Malcom X and the Nation of Islam that has freed this killer, not any form of cmpassion for the man.

Could you imagine freeing Sirhan Sirhan for the assasination of Robert Kennedy?    His parole is repeatedly denied as it should be.

Watching the local news here yesterday put things in a different perspective for me.

A man with a history of MULTIPLE driving violations including DUI struck and killed a woman while she was jogging in a zone where cars aren't even supposed to be driving.  He only gets 6 months and a $750 fine.  I had a hard time wrapping my brain around that.  My heart hurt for her family.    It was like her life wasn't worth a damned thing.

I know there's a difference between how these men took a life, but they both killed.

44 years, yeah, I kinda get that.    6 months, and a few dollars though...

He should be serving life.  How horrible this guy gets away with murder.

I hope they keep him tied up in civil court for the rest of his life.  He should never get a moments piece until its his turn to rot in hell.
