#1 MM, Salty P, OAKCB &BAF Excercise Vets HELP! Taking notes...
I need some advice on working out. I'm ready to start lifting weights to see if I can get my weight loss to start again. I'm at a bit of a stall for several reasons the workouts have dwindled and the eating has gotten a bit ridiculous . So tomorrow going low carb and recommitting to myself to get to goal. What's a good work-out regiment to start a mix of cardio and weight lifting should I alternate days and muscle groups. Tell me what you know whats been working for you. I need . I'm weighing in at 225 I just want to get under 200 I just want to see 1 something on the scale. I think you guys are the bomb I come her everyday I don't post much but I soak up all the knowledge you chica's and guys provide. Thank you for keeping it real. Also I can eat quite a bit anyway to shrink the pouch a little. Example for breakfast went to Cracker Barrel Ate one Blueberry pancake two turkey sausages and a bite or two of my eggs. I was full but not uncomfortable it seemed like quite a bit of food after I was done. What are your thoughts. Thanks

Jillian Michaels is pretty good, She has good routines to build muscle and burn fat. 30 Day Shred and No More Trouble Zones I have found to be some of the best of hers.
Now a days I just do push ups and pull ups to keep my muscles in tact while I try to trim down. I won't be lifting heavy again until after I have lost at least 20 pounds.
Generally to begin a weight routine, you want to focus on the main muscle groups in a combination of machines and weight bearing exercises that will also work your core.
Lower body: Hamstrings, quads, glutes and calves
Upper body: Bicep, Tricep, shoulders and traps
Back: Lats
Tell me what your routine is now - that will help me give you some suggestions that might work for you.
Oh - and thanks!!!! I was like moi? Exercise vet????? WOW!!!!!! Damn - guess I can't skip the gym tomorrow morning, you done called a sister out and ish..... LOL!!!!
I'm far from an expert but I keep it real simple. Visible results in a reasonable time frame, doable at home or at the gym:
The Body Sculpting Bible for Women
by James Villepigue and Hugo A. Rivera
Minimal equipment, just dumbells and something to serve as a weight bench. Routines from first timers to regular gym rats.
You can build muscle tone and definition without weight and bulk unless you want to bulk up. The routines are made to be perform three time a week but I work out six days a week.
My ideal daily routine: cardio, strength, abs split into three separate workouts.
