Hey Kim! WOW....you have really been through the ringer these last few months! I'm soooo sorry to hear that you've been down but glad to hear that you are now on the mend again. I know you were estactic to hear it was a pre-cancerous tumor. That "C" word is a scary thing. Just found out last week that my ex-boyfriend has colon cancer and my ex-mother-in-law has pancreatic cancer. Praying for you all.
Update on me: Well, I had plastic surgery on 3/19 (brachioplasty, upper body lift and inner thigh lift) and have a few complications with healing of the thighs that I am STILL dealing with. I was off work for a month too and just came back to work this week and it sucks!!!! Like Double said in his post, I would love to be curled up on the sofa with my pillow, blanket and some good pain pills. I'm only working 1/2 day for the next couple of weeks though because I still have stitches in my groin area which makes it very uncomforable to sit for long periods of time. Other than that, my arms and back have healed up nicely and I'm ready to wear some cute summer tops!
Tha't's weird how our weight goes haywire after surgeries. I weighed 195 on the day of my PS and I was swole up like the Pillsbury doughboy for about 2 weeks and like you, I wasn't eating because I had no appetite. Once the swelling went down, I hopped on the scale and it said 175! I'm taking that 175 and running with it and working on getting these last 10 pounds off. Once my legs are healed, I've got some serious workout plans already laid out.
Well, I hope you continue to heal and again, I'll be lifting you up in prayer. Take care.
