Yesterday I was feeling horrible. I ate all the right foods, but I didn't drink enough water or other liquids. I did not exercise because I hurt my foot and I am trying to let it heal before I start jogging on it again. Today I am not going to jog either. But I will try to do some upper body if I am feeling up to it. Tomorrow I plan on being back on track. Keeping track of what I am eating is really helping a lot. Its showing me how many cal are in diff. foods. I had no idea that spare ribs had so many cal. Just one is 477 and that is without the BBQ sauce. So, i figure maybe twice a year I can indulge in a rib.
Ouch! Spare ribs are on my no list for decades. I choose baby back instead and even those are a rare treat. They are also fatty and therefore high cal.
With meats I trim 100% of the visible fat before cooking. It brings down the calories for virtually everything I buy to beween 50 and 75 calories per ounce. That's just 150-225 calories per 3 oz serving.
