Started the day just fine but wound up at this place where lunch came from vending machine food and later dinner a dominos veg pizza.  No numbers yet as what I ate is not among my verified foods so I have no clue except knowing it was a high carb day.

Since I'm still not cooking much and had enough of takeout, I've taken the suggestion of shakes only for awhile.  I need a detox from caffine and sodium and all the extra fats in restaurant prepped food.  So its protein with a daily dose of a clensing tea plus some fiber for the week.   Fingers crossed, I can get at least three days of cardio & strength and some ab work.  Its been awhile since I've done more than two days of liquids.  I won't even speculate on wl potential.

Finally a small victory.  A pair of jeans I've been trying on all winter fit perfectly.  I could not get into them in January, barely fastened them last Sunday, but I wore them with compliments this weekend.  Yay, no muffin top.  Despite the lack of weight loss my midsection is more firm and looking leaner.  Hopefully my waistline will start shrinking to where I want it to be.

For me I started jogging on Friday. I usually take a 2mile brisk walk but decided to push the envelope this weekend and jogged. I actually jogged nonstop for 1.5 miles for a first timer. Then got back on the track yesterday (Sunday) and jogged 1 mile. I felt great but my legs are saying something different. Food wise was ok. Not really bad but no that good either but I am watching what i'm eating. Gonna get 10 lbs off by June at least that's my goal.

You'd be surprised how much your cardio improves through consistencey.  Keep on jogging.  Enjoy.

Instead of just trying to drink protein all week which is hard as hell and doesn't really pay off in weight loss,  why don't you go shopping and stock up on good healthy foods.

I just don't believe in that whole fasting thing, much like low carb, you may lose a few pounds, but when you stop it comes back super fast.

Liquid diet day 1....so far so good. My new protien shakes were not gagworthy so that is a major plus. Gym day is today, so I have my mp3 stocked with new tunes. Trying to let go of the guilt from my binge over the weekend....I really jumped the gun on that one got all discouraged thinking I had gained weight when it was only water from TOM.....anyway...moving on...

That's right, let the binge go, its over and done with.  Good luck sticking to the liquids.

Thanks Ms Pickles but Its time to switch things up.   I don't have full use of my hands right now so shoping and cooking are out.

I've been doing the healthy foods month after month and there is zero difference between then and this past month when I could not shop or cook.   I'm not on liquids only as I eat my protein powder as a microwave cookie or muffin, with same nutritional value.

This is an easy do able way to get away from the sodium fat and carbs from take out and back to mainly protein.  I'm modeling the protein sparing modified fast my first surgeon had me on pre op.  Instead of lean meats I'm using mainly protein powder.  I cooke salt free so its do it myself or nothing.  Also, having six servings daily vs the three on the surgeon's plan.

Fortunately, I don't get fast weight gain after low carbing or a few days of liquids.  Sadly I don't get quick wight loss either.  Maybe this time I'll get lucky and loose some pounds.  While I have a lot of fluid retention related weight gain, I've always had more trouble loosing body fat than keeping it off.   Fat gain issues are always metabolic haywire and what I eat makes no difference.  I'm gaining 2-3 lbs a week on lettuce.

What I would give to be metabolically normal. However, a normal healthy diet with a reasonable calorie deficit daily just does not work for me.  Time to do something different.

Im a newbie, but my feeling is that it dosen't hurt to shake thing up, keep the body from adapting. I am not looking for a big loss from this fast either as the pre op liquid fast for me was very  disappointing. My fat just dont wanna let go!!!! Been MO all my life!
