Just wondering, were you instructed to do a liquid diet 2 weeks prior to your surgery?
Did you follow it?
If not did you tell ur surgeon and was your surgery postponed?

Nurse told me I didn't have to do the liquid diet because I looked fit enough. That just don't sound right .... I'm having wls because I'm obese damnit!!!

Maybe the nurse is going to do the surgery????  Since my surgeon required a liquid diet.  I did it.  You will have plenty of time later in your weight loss journey to not follow directions.  Why not try to start out doing what he tells you.  IMO.

LOL -- I HAD to do a liquid diet for 7 days prior to the surgery with was on April 7th and I am into my second week pre-op and still on my liquid diet.  In speaking with other's I did not know this was an option not to do the liquid diet.

Please Question you surgeon.  My Dr. said because I followed my liquid diet to a tee it made my surgery go all the better.  Check it out

My surgeon only required a liquid diet for 24 hours prior to surgery.

 Hola!

I did the liquid diet for two weeks prior to surgery and I followed it. After the first two days I was ok with just drinking everything. I lost 25 pounds due to the liquid diet as well.

I suggest getting loads of chicken and beef broth and flavoring it with onions and celery and sugar-free popsicles they became my friend. I also tested out a lot of protein drinks even though half of them I hated after surgery. Your taste buds will change.

Hope this helps
