I am long time lurker.

I would like some protein powder suggestions that has no after taste and pretty reasonably priced.

I am trying to do protein smoothies for b-fast to add more protein to my diet.

Thanks in advance

hey Tasha!

For years I only did the ready to drink - never could find a powder I liked.  My nut store contact had me try BSN's Syntha 6 - I love it and it's all I use now.

Chocolate Milshake and Mochalatte are my favs.  I think you can find it at GNC, if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you Mack.

I am trying to increase my protein intake, so I will be trying this. I hope GNC carries it cause if I don't like it, I can return it for something else.

I will be having a protein smoothie on my way to work each day.

cool!  just one other suggestion - for the shaker bottle to mix them with - try to get the one with the lil wire whisk ball thingee in it - those are AMAZING!  Makes a very smooth shake.

Thank you very much for this suggestion as well.

I will go to GNC tomorrow for the powder and shaker bottle.

it also helps to add a bit of sugar-free (dry) pudding mix ... yum : )

Thanks Pacia.

Would you suggest the pudding mix instead of fruit or in addition to?
Should I use a blender to mix it with fruit as well for different taste?

I do it based on the flavor of the protein powder (I use Designer Whey).  I put chocolate pudding in chocolate, and vanilla and fruit flavored ones in vanilla powder.

I think that some fresh or frozen strawberries in a strawberry powder would be awesome (thanks for the suggestion  : )

I have one of those hand blenders that you stick right into the glass and I love it.  I always blend instead of shake because I dont like the lumps.  I also dont add ice, but some people say that  ice adds a nice milk-shakey texture.

Thank you Pacia.

You know I misread your post and put strawberry gelatin in it. LOL

I was coming back and I see you said pudding mix. Oopsie on my part.

I will try that as I have some sugar free vanilla pudding packs. I will add that to my vanilla protein.

Today, I mixed milk, banana, yogurt, with 1 1/2 scoop of protein in a blender with a bit of ice.

That will be breakfast and water until about lunch time.

I am starting to get into protein and using the body fortress whey powder from wal-mart.  I use one scoop and I mix it with a little creamer and coffee (in shaker), then I add it to more coffee.  does not taste like protein at all.  Hijacked/altered the recipe from Kerniec to suit my tastes...Its alot of calories for a liquid, but normally fills me up until at least mid-morning.

One scoop is almost 30 g of protein.
