Ok, so I slightly remember when James H was around....he mentioned something about calorie staggering to enhance your metabolism.  I thought I had it bookmarked but cant find it.

So, here's my question:  According to DailyPlate.com,  to lose 2lbs a week with moderate exercise I should be consuming 1688 calories daily.   So how would that be broken down daily with calorie staggering?

Hey HD!!!

 

Couple things about this:

1 – each meal should have no more than 30g of carbs, and you should eat at least half as much grams of protein as you do carbs for each meal to balance it.  Ex: 30g of carbs should be eaten with at least 15g of protein.  You can always do more protein, never overload on carbs.

 

2 – as far as staggering – you can cut your calories by 200 on non exercise days, and add 200 on your exercise days as a ‘feed’ to your body.  

 

3 – don’t forge****er – 60-80 oz a day

 

4 – Maintain a 2hr timeframe minimum between meals – anything you eat within this timeframe is immediately converted to fat.

Thank ladies!  Just so I'm clear though.  On my exercise days, I increase to 1888 calories, and non exercise days I'm at 1488 calories.  So there's no day where I'm at normal intake?

MM's advice along with the wagon train rules definitely works.  It jump starts your metabolism and the lbs start melting away again.  For me, I basically calculated what I needed per day up or minus the 200 regardless of exercise.  Within the first month of trying this I lost more than 6 lbs and I felt like I cleansed my body of the bad carbs once again.  I'm starting it again today because I fell off this past month and hit rock bottom this weekend.  I ate CARBS, CARBS AND MORE CARBS and I can tell, my energy level is ZERO!
