X Post: It takes my MAMA to 'one up' me in story tellin......
Ok - so before the 'Thrilla in Manilla' with babygirl last night, I did my mom's hair. While I was working on her 'do - we chatted.
I shared a story of a lady I worked with that I had to figure out because her area was going 'rogue' and ****** shyt up left and right. Either her or her boss were going to have to GO - I knew her boss, not really her, so I took her to lunch one day to feel her out........
In the course of conversation with this lady, she said that it's hard for her to tell people 'No' that she hates disappointing people.......so I said:
"Come on now, you can say no - I mean, it ain't like you got married just because the guy asked, right?"
"Welllllll.... yes" was her reply. "Are you ****ting me?" was my response. Then she goes into explaining they had dated for a few years and she knew he'd be hurt if she said now....... Needless to say - my decision on who to 'gun for' in office politics was made.
So my mom says "Oh, you think THAT'S something? Oh I got a story for ya!"
She then goes on to tell me about a lady she knew years ago that married a guy she knew in high school.....and knew when they married that he is GAY. As soon as they got married, she demanded she wanted children. However they made that happen - she got pregnant. Again. Again. Again. Again.
Homie stayed because he was so fearful of coming out of the closet to his family and living 'out of the closet' - this was in the early 80's and you know the social view of gays at that time, plus homie is Black - and back then it was REALLLYY not even discussed. So he stayed..... and she got preggo again.....and again.....
When the 9th kid came along - homie decided 'Fuck this **** - being gay CAN'T be THAT damn bad' and left her ass and went full on into being openly gay!
damn - that ***** DROVE a mofo OUT tha damn closet - dealing with her and all them kids was worse than dealing with his family and whatever society might have to say!!! That's gotta be a bad ass situation to make a scared gay man say 'Imma just have to take my chances and tell the damn truth - cause I can't stand this ***** not ONE MO DAY'
