RNY is not the easy way out!!
A few ladies at the gym have asked me how did I loose weight and I do say at after surgery and they then their noise's go up in the air acting like I just woke up one day and 113 lbs was gone NOT!! any of us who have RNY know this take work in the food, mental and workout departments.
I wish they all would get a clue!! sorry I just had to vent!!

After gaining 23 lbs. back, that was a serious serious reality check and wake up call for me!
To be honest, in a gym situation.........I'd probably not even answer the "how'd you lose weight" question. I'd just smile and say "I lost it the hard way"..............

If NOTHING ELSE, every single person who has had wls have displayed COURAGE and that bothers many a folk, so they bash, become the ghost of wls past by giving every morbid story that they think that they know, and go to great lengths in attempts to break the spirit of those who dare to fly. If you notice, you will also come across those who do display the courage and will be supportive until their time comes, and those who may not have had it before and bash will often later jump on the bandwagon and have wls themselves and then come to you and expect for you to be excited for them as if their torture had never occured. grrrrr now I'm venting lol.

I just wanted to chime in and agree. So many people think we have to do nothing after having the surgery. Everyone's experience is different. My sister had RNY almost 6 years ago or something like that, never worked out a day in her life before or after surgery. The weight fell off and she has maintained it off as well. that is NOT my story....everyone is different and this surgery is not blanket easy fix....i had to work hard for every single pound i lost....My honeymoon only last 2 weeks, where i lost 23 pounds in those 2 weeks. From that point, it's been an avg of 2 pounds a week, maybe more some weeks, but that's about it....and that's with me in the gym 5-6 x a week....it's not easy, and those who think it is really **** me off. I had to learn how to eat all over again, I track my dailiy caloric/carb/protein intake EVERY DAY....as well as documenting how many calories i burned in the gym to make sure i'm at a caloric deficit each and every day. Being accountable like that day in and out is nothing easy......so screw anyone who thinks it is.
LOL...ok, i'm done adding my vent now....sorry.
