Do what makes YOU feel good about yourself.  I hope all goes well with your surgery.

This post was very enlightening; thanks for sharing. I am currently married and right now I couldn't imagine going back into the dating arena but I totally understand your feeling and thoughts. It's so crazy because on one hand the surgery is the best thing that happened to most of us but on the other hand...............it's so many other issues that come along with it.

I am at the pre op stage, and I am terrified of what my skin will look like after WLS. I am afraid of being trapped in a thinner body....thank you for this post.

One thing I can honestyly say is that I would rather be trapped inside of a size 6-8 body with saggy skin rather than a size 24 body filled with fat... Please do not be terrified because you may be lucky when all said and done... I prepared myself from day 1 and made sure that mentally and financially I would be able to deal with plastics... You will be fine and good luck with everything.

I have finally gotten to the point that I would rather be small that fill with fat and health issues.  Glad you posted this.
