Familar with "Black Hair Care?" Please Help!!!!!

Ok OH fam,

This question is for all the ladies especial those familiar with black hair care! I say "black hair care" not because I am being racist, but because our hair is a lot different!

My dilemma is of course I am familiar with the hair loss post op, I even had it after I had 4 C-sections; however I am totally bald in the front (even with the natural fro I have been wearing for the last 18 months)!

What can I use to aid in the regrowth and thicken of my hair? Please do not say: you need to increase your protein (already doing/done that), or take biotin (already doing/done that). Has anyone tried that ovation hair care system? I am tempted to try it but I am not sure the claims are correct. Please advise.

I do have it braided right now but I know when I take these braids out it's going to be very crazy!

You have to try Healthy Hair, Skin & Nails it is a vitamin product made by Dr. Lessman and they sell it on HSN.  

My Becca hair was falling out like crazy,  she was so thin and very bald on top just like myself.  Well someone on BAF told me about this Healthy Hair, Skin & Nails and I ordered the 250 count bottle and let me tell you, this stuff stopped Becca hair from falling out and it thickened her hair up.  We just ordered the 500 count bottle last week and this stuff is awesome.  

Also I recommend that you keep your hair moisturized and keep a plastic cap on it when you are at home as much as possible.   It will work wonders for your hair.

This is my hair LAST YEAR, my hair is about 6 INCHES LONGER since then from keeping it moisturized and in a baggie, and taking these pills.

The pills didn't grow my hair to that length,  I have always had long hair it just helped it to stop falling out and helped both Becca and my own hair to get thicker.  

I don't see why it wouldn't work on mens hair, I suppose you could try

Thanks.  I'll check it out.  I currently take Biotin but it gives me wicked growing dandruff the more my hair grows.  

Yes I have heard that Ovation works wonders. They do have a cheaper alternative called Megatek. I have used Megatek and it seems to work but this was before surgery. Since these are protien based treaments I think they will work.

Hair today gone tomorrow. Last year was every stressful for me. Got all the basic vitamin in didn't get the protein as needed.  One day my niece asked what was going on with my hair.  I started combing my hair it was just about all gone.  From little below the shoulder to a one inch cut that was 3 weeks ago.
I use to thought people was vain about their hair I did everything not to cry,now I have to make sure I get the protein, biotin. I"ve try several things I think Dr. Miracle"s is doing it for me I wash my hair every other day but condition it everyday. GOOD LUCK

Dr. Oz recommends massaging your scalp with lavendar oil. I buy it from a health food store or you can order essential oils from online sites. I make my hair products and I have a lot of thick natural hair that is about bra strap length. I order some products at fromnaturewithlove.com also. Flaxseed oil added to your protein shake or salad can also make a difference in your hair. I also agree with Salty Pickle but I just take biotin.

Thanks everyone. I have never been big on hair considering you can buy, sow, glue, etc these days; but when I looked at the front before getting it braided I was shocked! I think I will go to the barber shop and just get it all tapered down and then go from there. I think a wig can do the trick should I want a Filonna!! I am going to order the ovation hair products too because the water here in Cali mess up everyone's hair growth.
