Have you considered the possibility that you want love on your terms and aren't willing to compromise? You know, moving out of state and moving in with cats is not a big deal when faced with a lifetime of loneliness. If Erik is the man that you have been waiting for, why let relocation and kitty cats stand in the way of true love? I don't get this.

And honey, let me tell you this. Old boy, with the fancy talk, he's what we like to refer to as a test. And you my dear, are failing miserably. Get your act together, figure out what you want out of your life, and stop consulting with folks on this board about a decision that affects your life and your life only.

Ziggy you are my girl; I hope you KNOW that, thanks for the kick, I guess I am having all these emotions run through my head, trust me - old boy can't make me do  things that I don't want to do, he just caught me at a time when I was a bit frustrated that I am having to move and adopt cats... we were going to have babies but that has been canceled for now...so I guess we really need to sit down again and talk things through -- his mom usually calls me when I get depressed about things and having to compromise on Erik's terms....

 Naomi, sometimes we all need a kick. No worries. Seriously though, you have to sit down with Erik and talk to him about what you are feeling. You keep mentioning these cats and unless you are allergic to them, I don't see why they are a potential deal breaker. Well, I'm a cat and dog lover, so that could just be me not understanding this issue with cats. And ok, you'd have to relocate. You're in IT sweetie, you can work ANYWHERE!!!!

Yes, you are correct it IS easier for me to move around job wise than Erik coz he is up in Pennsylania but he works in MD....he trying to get me USED to cats and he is buying me one over the weekend, which I am not ready for yet....I am going through female hormonal issues and he is trying to make me feel better -- but I was not ready to own a cat yet and he is forcing one on me....I love cats and dogs too as long as they can go home
