HOLD MY FEET TO THE FIRE! ACCOUNTABILITY POST
Accountability Mission: No Mercy and No Excuses
Hey hey BAF Family! It'S THURSDAY accountability time.
You should be working it to the max by this time of the week. Tell the whole truth and be accountable. Are you on point? No bull ****ing, no self deception. There's only one truth so are you with it or not? Protein, water, supplements, portion control, exercise both cardio and strength... every day!
Deal with your head issues. Its as big a problem and perhaps even bigger than your re arranged gut. I just read yet another post suggesting a revision as a primary solution to weight gain. Well, how effective will your revision be if you still maintain the same mindset that lead to your obesity?
Revisions have their place in this process. Some of us may need revision. However, just like we tried "everthing" before getting cut the first time, we need to consider the reasons for our regain before seeking a newer tool.
Failure is possible with every single procedure. Mechanically, metabolically or emotionally we can fail even after revisions. Before you go there, do some honest introspective about your weight gain. You may find you need to work on your head issues to achieve long term success. We are in this total mind and body.
One definition of wls success is to maintain a loss of 50% or more of excess body fat for a life. That's a long time to potentially revert to failure. Work on geting your head together. Get back to your surgeon / nutritionist. Accept that recovery from obesity is a long term treatment for many of us just like other disordered eating behaviors. Be ready and accepting of working this for life.
Give yourself a chance at identifying the root causes of your dysfynctional eating. Lets face it, for most of us it is not purely metabolic or mechanical. Our eating disorders play their part. Then get help even if you've not yet gained weight. Therapy, low cost self help, free support programs are out there if you seek them out.
Putting soap box away now.
...All are welcome, jump in at anytime.

I am trying to get back to 209...2 pounds to go...had gained with the GS cookies BUT all is good now.
I'm of carbs mostly with bean with tomato soup and about a sixth of a small pita as my carbs for the day. The pantry will be out of carbs except for seasonings like onion and garlic in a few days. Hopefully I can finally hit ketosis and loose again. I've had no steady eight loss since September, 7-8 monthspost op. Staying on plan gets harder and harder each day without results.
I've decided to go back to dropping the carbs and working towards ketosis. So far zero to trace. I'll keep testing daily and eliminating foods until I see some purple on those test strips.
I'm now at my lowest weight since WL surgery! 234 from my highest of 372! I'll be in those 16s this spring!!!!!!

The old heads on BAF schooled me early out. I'm like a parrot squaking out a reminder for the experienced, the newbies, and folks like me who think they know something cause its been a year.
Check out the link in my siggy line. A new OA Newcomers session started this week so its not too late to join. Its an emotional ass kicking but every three hours, 24/7, there is an online support group meeting. OA is not for everybody but its cheaper than a therapist.
I had not used OH.com since surgery. But after gaining weight and therapist out and WW out and no $$$, I thought about OH. I stopped posting when they updated their sight. So today I redid my site. Made it pretty because this is a new Day for Yolanda. I am going to do what it takes to reach my goals and maintain my loss this time out. I know I need some type of support for life because I am a food addict to a certain extent. I have come a long way but I need to tweak and hone in my skills and I realized I am going to have to do it for LIFE in order to be successful and to maintain my success and I really like the response I am getting from the BAF forum too! 3 years ago I never check out the different forums. I just used the main board. but this time I am taking advantage of everything and the beautiful thing is it is FREE and therapeutic and keeps me mindful! Thanks girl! Enjoy weekend!
