Just found out!!!

Hello all-

I just found out that I have to get my gallbladder removed. I go see my surgeon in 2 days to schedule a date for it's removal. I am so nervous. I don't want to have to go through 2 surgeries. Did anyone else go through this? If so, what were your experiences?

Hi ebonyeyes, my dr. always removes the gall bladder at the same time he preforms the by-pass surgery. Dr. Hutcher says that is the best way since most candidates eventually have to get it removed anyway.

Too bad if it cannot be done at the same time, but I do know it is necessary.

Hey Kyra-

Girl I have been doing some research and some people's lives change after the gallbladder removal. They say they have all kinds of pains and use the bathroom after every meal. Hopefully I will be ok. I'm leaving it in God's hands! Thanks for having my back boo!

Can't they move up your rny date? Many surgeons take out the gall bladder when they do wls. I agree 2 surgeries back to back sucks. I would try to get out of having 2 if possible. If you gotta do them seperately just let go and let God have his way... I'll say a special prayer for you.
