OT: Sometimes when one door closes many other opens

Good morning,
In these hard economic times, many companies are streamlining their budgets and cutting back on contractors, Oh...I refused to work full-time for one company, I like to keep my skill-set up and I love the adventure of contracting and consulting AND very high pay this way I don't get involved in the day-to-day office politics, but the downside to contracting is the client can end the contract without much notice and that is what happened to me and a few others recently...
So...I had to brush off my resume and put myself out there immediately on all the technology job boards and low and behold after only 2 weeks of looking and interviewing I have been offered 3 jobs...so right now I am juggling which one is more lucrative...most of the offers are pretty much in the same pay range, I just got to look over the benefits, all offer the 10 paid holidays, matching 401K, education reimbursement; but right about now I am investigating which insurance plan will pay for weight loss surgery at 100 percent...coz I think I may want to get my port replaced on my band; and my current job did not pay for any thing related to wls; but my previous job did 5 years ago and I don't want to make that mistake again...so now is my opportunity to pick and choose....so the moral of this post is...if you lose your job in these economic times...it may be a blessing for a much better door to open..
Have a great day
