Hello OH

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in the shower getting myself ready for work.I forget to take my meds.I panic and jump out of the shower to make sure I take the pills before I forget again… Then it hit me. I can do this for the rest of my life. I know for myself. The reason why I am taking one in a lifetime opportunity is because of my health.
Do you remember the day to made that life changing decision to do the surgery?

I don't remember the day but I remember the year being 2002.  Just wanted to add that even if you  have the surgery, you will still have to take vitamins for the rest of your life but that is much better than taking all those other medications.

There wasn't a "moment", rather a series of events.

1) I sat in a lawn chair at a blues festival and broke it in two!
2) horribly painful foot/leg spasms as my weight creeps higher
3) split my pants at work (yikes!)
4) I look like a blimp
5) PCOS Symptoms
6) can't walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath
7) I take about 8 pills a day
8)...the list goes on!

I'm in the starting phase of the wls journey. The list above is my motivation. My soul is crying out NO MORE!

There wasn't one thing that made me say OK it's time it was just the entire day to day living as a obese person.  The breathing issues, joint pain, swollen hands and feet and not feeling desirable to anyone.
