I am glad y'all are okay.. There has got to be some accountability in these situations. But everyone to busy doing shady dealing and just won't man up and take these CEOs to the mat.

It ain't just the CEO's - plenty other folk knew about the problem and said nothing.

Big issues within companies are not secrets kept by few, but by many.

The Department of Transportation was aware of the issue, and sat on it. I'm not for more regulation, but I want the regulation we have in place to actually work.

It's like the Bernie Madoff situation. The SEC was asleep on the job and he literally stole BILLIONS of dollars. Have any heads rolled at the SEC over it? Not that I can recall.

Instead of the Secretary of Transportation saying that it was an oversight in her department, she suggestion Toyota owners not drive their cars. As if that's an option for most people.

Grrrrr!

I've always been a Nissan kind of girl. Now I'm a BMW lady. And according to the head of Toyota, it's pretty safe, otherwise he'd be rolling in a Lexus, his own brand.

"I've always been a Nissan kind of girl. Now I'm a BMW lady." - We could be twins!

The story on Toyota has me freaking out! I don't own a Toyota, and neither does my family,  but I pass by them daily and this is crazy.

Now the Lexus is in the news with issues. My brother has one and I'm worried. I can't get over how they can get away with this mess!

THEY KNEW!!!
THEY KNEW!!!
THEY KNEW!!!
THEY KNEW!!!

Think of all of the lives that have been lost? The pain and suffering. They don't care and I hope like hell that the US is going to do something about it.

Last year, I took my parents to the dealership to look at Toyota. My Pops was pissed because the salesarse was trying to get them to purchase a four cylinder. We called the dealership, checked the online inventory and the six cylinder was in stock. Got there, didn't have any. Toyota left a really bad taste in my mouth due to that ONE incident. Went right to the Nissan dealership and they rolled out in a new Maxima.

Sorry, let me get back to my point. They knew about the problem and they continued to sale their faulty product. SMDH.

Shiot, shiot, shiot...that is fugged up!

I saw a story about a Toyota that ended up in a lake around Christmas. All passengers perished. When the car was pulled out of the water, the floor mats were found in the trunk. I

In the trunk...EXACTLY WHERE THEY TOYOTA TOLD THEM TO PLACE THEM.

well - like I said about my mom - they replaced her STARTER - nothing has been said about that being the root cause of this 'issue' - I am willing to bet that in another 10 years - the REAL story comes to light.

Sad thing - it's gonna take the deaths of MORE people to point out that the floor mats ain't REALLY the issue......

This is exactly my point. This Toyota thing affects all of us in some way. It's like when they have a recall on a baby crib because I baby can slip through some opening and choke itself, and we find out about the recall 2 or 3 years after the first baby died. WTH?

Who's looking out for us?????
