I have been MIA for a minute.  And I am so  of all the things I have been having.  I have not had large portions but I have been having carb heavy food.  Let me just say what I had on Sunday so you will have an idea...rotel dip with scoops, fried drummettes dipped in ranch dressing, french fries with ketchup (I usually don't eat ketchup), numerous strawberry daiquris, corn dip with fritos... I am falling and I can't get up!!!!

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas. ~Author Unknown

  For shame, for shame, stop that NOW. 

Pick your poison.  Choose one fun food a day and measure out the portion.  Know the calories in it.  That's what helps me with moderation.  Knowing the percentage of my day's food this takes up. 

You can do this.  Carnivale season is annual.  You don't want to gain weight every year.  Use today to deal with change.

I've been consistent week over week.  The plan changes but my follow through has been good even through the holidays.  When I eat higher calories, I pay it forward in exercise and cutting back before hand.  If its unplanned, I make up the calories afterward.

Since the Labor Day Honeymooner's Challenge, my daily averages run 1300 calories, 30g net carbs, 950 execise burn, 80 oz liquids.  I stick to the basics.  I've missed the vits too many days a month (about seven or 25%, bad, really bad).

The result?  I had 28.5 lbs to goal.  I now have 20.1 lbs to goal.  Eight pounds lost in nearly six months of following a propper post op diet. 

Yes, I am bitter.  Very bitter.

In efforts to reach my goals...........I started the 5 day pouch test yesterday.........ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!! Someone tell me it'll get better. lol :) I am going to ramp up my exercise as well this week. Will keep you posted. I am on a mission to come out of the month of February 100 pounds down (total).

First day is toughest but it does get easier.  It really helps cut the appetite and lets you 'feel' your pouch restriction.  A couple days of liquids gives my gi tract the feeling of a nice clean out.  Good luck.
