Hey everybody,

I am still working this goal despite having a heyl of a week. Only one word to describe it.....STRESSFUL...but despite it all I hung in there. I had a few minor slips but nothing that prevented me from losing my focus.  I had planned my daughters Birthday party for Saturday but it was snowed out so I had to reschedule it for next Saturday. Well...one impact that change had on my plan was Birthday cake ...plenty of it AND not enough mouths available to eat it. We packed up our gear and headed to near Philadelphia and rode out the snow storm at a Marriott there ($50 per night on Priceline.com ).  I will say this...while I had my share of cake...I was mindful to take off all the frosting and leave only a slight haze. Ya'll this is dayum good for me because CAKE is my weakness.  I made sure I cut my calories in other areas as compensation. I know that this was not the healthiest approach but it worked for me. It was good to be stuck in a hotel as opposed to the house because I was able to work out  two times each day....man it felt really good. I wish I had the time or the ease of use to do that on a regular.

I did have to change my mind about the Plastic Surgery Consult. I did not want to have it before I lost the rest of my weight but I gave my boss the heads up that I was going to be taking FMLA this summer. I needed to do it because I am the only one who can assist and submit the faculty research proposals on my campus.  She needs to plan far ahead of the game to get back up for me in my absence plus no one else can plan their vacations until we  know whats up with me.

If i were to wait for the consult...then I would be dealing with the approval process and trying to get an available surgery date. This would probably push a surgery date into the Fall semester....AND that would be much less convenient for our office.

So I have a consult scheduled for February 18th.  I am sure I meet the criteria for my insurance company to pay...at least I hope so.  I figure when (thinking positive)  I get the approval I can plan my surgery for the 5/24 date or shortly thereafter so that I can get to my goal weight before surgery.

Well...this is my plan. I figure if I come in at 180 prior to my TT and I am trying to get my BL done too...I should settle at around 165-170 after surgery (skin removal, swelling and more toning).  I really don't want to go further down than 165. I do not want to be skinny...just healthy with a little meat still on my bones.

At any rate,   that whats up with me. I need to schedule my next training session and go back to low carb for the next two weeks...I want to lose at least another 5 pounds before PS consult...don't know if its possible but that would put me at 205,

Hope every one else is still making  progress on your goals. i am only going to post when I lose each pound and not so much in between unless I have something worthwhile to share.

Keep thinking positive, we can make it.

Good job on sticking to your plan MD.  We all get off track from time to time, but you kept your focus and had some compensating controls working for you like the exercise.

Good Job!!custom smiley

Thanks Janice,

Yes....I figured I balanced myself out by expending like 400 calories per work out session. I need to be mindful now...cuz I will not be able to work out like that now.

Thanks OA KCB!

Gurl....its was good too...but you know...after I had the third capcake (it was a cupcake cake), I was finished. I just had to get that craving squashed. I would say without the frosting...I was talking like 600 calories....shoot I remember a day...when I would eat a WHOLE 4000-5000 calorie cake in one day. Thank god those days are over.

Congrats MD!   on your weight loss!  You are working it girl -- I lost about 6 pounds too, but I NEED to step up my exercise and that is very hard to do with all these freaking blizzards we have been having back to back in the DC area
