M.I.A.
Well I know it has been a minute since I have posted but here it is. My life has been hella crazy for the last few months. It started first with the end of the year and being that i work in the financial department of my office that means grinding the books for the end of the year numbers. My oldest daughter also hyper extended her knee so after working 10 hours I was taking her to to therapy 3x's a week. As far as the surgery goes I am still doing well thankfully. I go for my three month check up next week. I spend 3-4 days a week in the gym and I love it. I have lost 40lbs so far and for the most part I am feeling good. The down side is that prior to surgery I already had severe arthritis (since I was 12 ....I have metal screws in my knees) and sacral-ileitis. Originally we had hoped that the weight reduction would help with some of the symptoms but because of my increased activity it has become more aggravated. I will be having a cortisone shot in my hip in the coming weeks and hopefully i will be in good enough shape to get my grind back on at the gym.
I still have trouble balancing the eating and drinking. I do get in all my protein, and take my vitamins faithfully. My husband and family have been fabulous and both of my girls(10 and 11) can read labels like champions. They have learned right along with me and we are truly going through the process together. My husband kicks my but in the gym frequently but at the time he is patient and understanding and I couldn't ask for more. My girl Brenna has been my email partner and having her constant communication when I haven't been able to get to here has been a real blessing. I have snuck in a few times to try and read up on the latest happenings. I really do miss the site and the BAF and I will certainly try to make it back as often as I can. My work schedule is ridiculous right now doing about 60 hours a week but I am not complaining because it could definitely be worse.
I will make sure I come back often to update you guys on my progress and journey. I wish you all well and I miss you dearly.
Keep losing and Keep healthy!!!!!!!!!!
Love,
Kimm
