Frugal Tip 1st today...If you have a Meijers "Listen" Up!

Hopefullly, I'll get to post the freebies right after.. but the clock is a ticking on this one!!

Until the 31st, Meijers has select kraft products on a register reward for $5 when you buy 5 products.  If you belong (or can join, if not) their website, they have a "mealbox" section that has their instore coupons.   There is a $1.00 /3 off kraft cream cheese coupon.  In addition some local stores (no luck in my meijers) has a recipe/coupon booklet with various kraft products that includes a $1.00/2 coupon for the cream cheese as well.  The price at my Meijers is $1.79.  So the most optimum scenario would work like this for the cream cheese:

5x $1.79=$8.95
- $1.00/3 coupon
= $7.95
-$2.00 manu coupon
=5.95+ tax out of pocket
earn $5.00 instant register rebate.    You can rinse & repeat, by re-using the register reward repeatedly & just pay the 95 cent + tax.  Once you are done, then that rebate can be used toward any future purchase.

You only want to do five at at time though, as it will only generate one reward per transaction!


This is also valid towards the breakstone cottage cheese doubles (indivdual serving w/fruit on the side).  These are a $1.00 a piece, but no coupons.  However, after your first purchase of 5, all you pay is tax.

I had heard a rumor about this & tested it out myself, so for those of you who are Walgreens shoppers, their register rebates work at Meijers as well.  However, I've been told it's easier to go through the U-Scan's instead of hasseling w/some of the cashiers, who may decide that you can't use it.  So, if you have some of these, then the above rerefenced scenario's could be free & a possible moneymaker.  Remember if you will have an overage due to this, have other items to cover it, as they will not refund $$ & the register will not accept the last reward if there is an overage in addition.

Through saturday, Koolaid Jammerss are on sale for 3/$5.00, in addition, you get an instant $3.00 off for every 3!! So, you can buy as many as you want in one transaction, just make sure it's in increments of 3 & the register will discount correctly.   Easy Mac Cups (4 pak) & Nabisco Single serve tray packs (12-15 ct & on sale for $4)also are eligble for the $3 instant discount, but the Easy mac is not on sale & I don't know what the price is on that.

So Monday night I bought 21 koolaid jammers & 25 cottage cheese doubles, with all coupons & instant rebates (both Meijers & Walgreens) for a grand total of $4.73
